Watercolor Value Lesson

A lesson on value, the lightness and darkness of a color, in watercolor. Paint along with me, a value scale, practicing brushstrokes and painting a sphere. Get to know the medium of watercolor and understand that value creates form and the illusion of dimension. Supplies needed include a variety of watercolor brushes, watercolor paint and a watercolor journal or watercolor paper. If you are new to painting or would like more information on art supplies read my article: All About Art Supplies
