Playful Pear in Watercolor

Get to know your paint and brushes. Practice your drawing and value skills. This is a great next step to take if you have already completed the Watercolor Value Lesson. Paint along with me, a playful pear, practicing brushstrokes, glazing and wet-on-wet. Get to know the medium of watercolor and understand that value creates form and the illusion of dimension. Supplies needed include a small and medium round watercolor brush and a larger background brush. I like Neptune Quills for the latter. You will also need watercolor paint and a watercolor journal or watercolor paper. If you are new to painting or would like more information on art supplies read my article: All About Art Supplies
